Settled sea front on Phuket’s quieter and lushly forested east coast, Villa Padma exudes a vibrant palette of colours – from the rich greens of the surrounding mangroves to the oranges of a tropical Thai sunset. Beautifully hand-carved traditional friezes and sculptures, as well as more contemporary artwork, adorn the spacious villa amidst well-appointed furnishings.
Villa Padma offers four lavishly appointed and privately positioned bedrooms and an impressive choice of indoor and outdoor lounge areas. Outside, an inviting 25-metre swimming pool features submersed sunbeds as well as cushioned loungers on a spacious pool deck and comfortable seating in a water-fringed sunken sala – the ideal place to sip a sunset cocktail before dining under the chandeliers of the vaulted dining room. Challenge a friend to a game of pool or foosball in the games room, or relax in the cinema room which features a pixel-perfect 120-inch projection screen with surround-sound and cosy seating for an audience of up to 20. A study, equipped with two computers and a printer/scanner for guest use, doubles as a treatment room (massage beds available).
Villa Padma is staffed by a manager, private chef and housekeepers who all go out of their way to make your holiday as enjoyable as possible. The villa is part of the exclusive Cape estate at Cape Yamu, which features a private beach and two tennis courts as well as the excellent Breeze restaurant. Cape Yamu is only a 25-minute drive away from the Blue Canyon Golf Club and the beaches of Surin, Bang Tao and Layan, and only half an hour from Phuket airport.
Location:
Villa Padma sits on the western side of The Cape estate on Phuket’s east coast, which will have a total of 33 villas when complete. The highest points on this narrow cape offer sea views to both the east and west, and out to the steep limestone islands of Phang Nga Bay. A private path for estate residents leads to a small beach. From the villa, the views extend across Sapam Bay to Phuket Town and the lush hills of southern Phuket in the distance. Within the estate is an excellent restaurant, Breeze, and tennis courts. The waterfront promenade and small pier along the road leading to The Cape estate is a good place for a stroll to take in the local life, especially when the setting sun gives the bay a golden and crimson glow.
